Until starting at Yorkshire Farmers in 2002, Chris Barlow worked from 1986 for PIC. In this time, he held a variety of roles, including logistical management of the AI centres. With his knowledge of genetics and breeding herd management, in the 20 years he’s worked at Yorkshire Farmers he has been actively involved in restocking several breeding units and continues to do so to this day for both members and non-members.

He offers logistical and practical advice on the best way to destock and restock a unit, minimising the effect on cash flow. Chris works closely with the genetics supplier to formulate a cash flow showing the benefits of the new healthy herd and to maximise the income.
